When is Nursery offered?
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church offers nursery services during the following Masses:

· Sunday 8:30 a.m.
· Sunday 11:00 a.m.
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church also offers nursery during the Sunday 9:45 am Faith Formation session.
What ages?
The nursery is available for children ages 1 year through 3 years. The nursery is located in Aquinas Room in the Narthex of the Church.
What do I do to take my child to the nursery?
· Before Mass, take your child to the nursery
· Sign him/her in
· Put a nametag on him/her and their belongings.
· Be sure a staff person knows when your child arrives AND leaves
· Please do not have siblings or another person pick up child. This policy is for the safety of your child.

How is it staffed?
Anyone participating in this ministry must comply with the Diocesan Ethics and Integrity Policy and guidelines. This included completing and online application and background check as well as attending a workshop. This process is required prior to any involvement with children and vulnerable adults.

Parents/others may volunteer 1, 2, or 3 times in a 3-month period, at a Mass that is convenient for them. Parents who use the nursery are not required to volunteer, but their participation is encouraged. Parents are welcome to visit the nursery at any time. Parents who wish to be involved in the nursery and interact with other children need to complete volunteer procedures.
How do I volunteer?
Contact a nursery coordinator or fill out a volunteer form (located in the Narthex) and turn it in to the Church office.

Can anyone attend the Protecting God’s Children training?
All parents are encouraged to attend the training. It is a comprehensive program that helps parents identify risk factors and behaviors, as well as build an awareness of environment.

Does working in the nursery fulfill my Sunday obligation for Mass?
NO. Volunteering in the nursery does not fulfill our Sunday obligation to attend Mass.
