Dear Lord, Help the missionaries to spread your fragrance wherever they go. Flood their souls with your spirit and life. Penetrate and possess their whole beings so utterly that all their lives may only be a radiance of yours. Shine through them and be with them so that every soul they come in contact with may feel your presence in their souls. Let them look up and see no longer they, but only you, O Lord. Stay with them; then they shall begin to shine as you do; to shine as a light to others. The light, O Lord will be all from you; none of it will be theirs; it will be you shining on others through them. Let them thus praise you in the way you love best, by shining on those they are around. Let them preach you without preaching, not by words but by their example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what they are doing, the evident fullness of the love their hearts bear for you. Amen.
Sponsored by St. Thomas Aquinas, this is a week-long annual medical mission trip to Tamahu, Guatemala to care for the indigenous peoples in the region and support the mission of the Missionaries of Charity who live and work there. The team is composed of doctors, nurses, dentists, physical therapists, linguists and others desiring to minister to the poor. The team does all its own fundraising, medication and supply purchasing, and packing. The team draws medical personnel from Texas and beyond.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Medical Mission team will be going to San Cristobal, Guatemala
March 12-19, 2017. Please prayerfully consider joining us on this challenging and rewarding spiritual experience. We ask that all who come do so with hands and hearts willing to serve Jesus in his distressing disguise of the poorest of the poor. All missionaries who go with us to Guatemala must have training in the Ethics and Integrity in Ministry. If you have any questions, you are welcome to call Kathy Polzer at (979) 690-2848,
