The ACTS weekend parish retreat is presented by Catholic laity with the support and guidance of clergy and a spiritual companion.
The intent of the retreat is to provide an opportunity for parishioners to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
The purpose of the retreat is two-fold:
Promote intentional Christ-centered discipleship; and
Build parish community.
The information is presented in ways which help make it immediately useful for each retreatant. Plus, there is fun and fellowship mixed into the weekend!
Catholic non-parishioners within the deanery may attend based on space availability and will be waitlisted. Catholics from outside the deanery require special permission to attend, and if space is available, registration places you on the waitlist.
Adoration – Responding to God's love through prayer and worship
Community – Building parish community through love and care of each other as members of the Body of Christ
Theology – Deepening our understanding of God in order to better fulfill His will
Service – Answering the call to discipleship by following the model He gave us
The ACTS weekend brings the retreatants to a better understanding of God’s love for them and also develops their need to share that love with others through their involvement in a faith-centered parish community.
