Welcome to an exciting and important part of your child's life as they prepare to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for the first time to grow as disciples!
First Reconciliation and Communion preparation is a separate & supplemental program to a child's grade level formation.
Children will prepare to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation first followed by preparation to receive the Eucharist.
Please read below to ensure your child is eligible to receive First Communion this year.
Children must be in at least the 2nd grade and have attended faith formation for the year prior (normally 1st Grade) to sacrament preparation and the year during sacrament preparation (normally 2nd Grade).
1st - 4th Graders should register for Family Formation
5th - 12th Graders should register for their Youth Ministry program.
Children must be Baptized.
If your child is not Baptized, please refer to the Becoming Catholic for Children pages for more information.
If you child is in the 2nd grade or higher and has not attended faith formation prior, please contact Darren Seibert after you have registered for the child's grade level faith formation.
Generally, children will need to attend their grade level formation this year only and attend their grade level formation, along with First Communion preparation, during the next year.
