Being a welcoming community is very important to us. Front Door Disciples are the faces of our parish. They warmly greet those coming into our church and help the ushers in their various roles as follows:
Doors will be opened by parishioners. One person can be in the narthex encouraging people to use holy water, use sanitizer, grab a hymnal, and pew art cards.
Even though we have masks, you can still be an inviting and welcoming presence for people during these crazy times.
You will welcome parishioners and direct them to ushers for seating.
After the church is filled you will direct people to the overflow location(s) to help parishioners never feel turned away from the mass.
The bulletins can be distributed after mass in the traditional manner.
Doors may be held open as the major flow of traffic exits so that there is not frequent slamming of doors, and to give a warm goodbye for parishioners(in a COVID safe manner).
Front Door Disciples welcome worshippers to our church services.
