Vocation Prayer

In this program, a different family or individual is presented with a special icon representing priesthood, religious life, holy marriage or the diaconate after Communion on the specified Sunday. The family is commissioned to display the icon in a prominent place in their home and pray for vocations in the coming month on behalf of the entire parish community. A prayer booklet is provided with the icon, which includes suggested prayers to use throughout the month. The Vocation Icons will be presented at each Mass on the last Sunday of the month.

The Vocation Icon is returned to the ministry office at the end of the month. The family will keep the prayer book, month calendar with current seminarians, The ABC's of Fostering Vocations, and a card with the icon of Sts. Louis and Zellie Martin and their family which includes St. Therese, the Little Flower.
